Storms, More Gelatto, and Guidance

Giant storms in Vicenza 

This was a day where a giant storm came billowing in and got us. There has been some really strange weather lately in Vicenza, it will be totally sunny and then start raining really hard, but you will still be able to see the sun. 

The day of the photo it was a nice clear day and then suddenly the clouds rolled in and it started HAILING. 

It was good though because we ran into a shop and started talking to the shop
owner about the gospel. She let us borrow an umbrella and then we were good to go.

I am trying to take more photos... I have some bad quality ones from
the phone but I guess they are better than nothing...a shepherds pie.

 We had a couple really amazing miracles this week. They all happened
in places that were slightly outside of Vicenza.

First we went to a place called Monticello to do some work, we felt really inspired to go
there. We worked for a couple hours with no success, and we really
felt that we needed to go back to Vicenza, even though we had planned
originally to go out the rest of the day in that area. So we went to
the bus stop but it didnt come for 40 minutes, so we went out and
knocked some doors again to see if anyone was interested. 

As we did, we found a woman who looked in her late 50s early 60s who talked with
us. She told us she hadn't read the bible since she was a little kid
and she felt like she was missing something, so we shared with her the
Book of Mormon and gave her one. As we left we realized we hadn't even
known her name or set up a return appointment or anything so we went
back and saw her starting to read it. We talked with her again and
discovered that she was going to bring that book with her on vacation.

Then we went back to Vicenza, and on our way to do a pass by of a less
active member we saw an investigator who had met with us once and we
had a great lesson with, but he didnt want to meet with us again
because he wanted to finish the Bible before he started the Book of
Mormon. So we walked with him and then he invited us in his house! We
taught him and he offered to give us rides to our appointments and
help us whenever we need it. He thought it was a miracle we ran into
each other, because he said to himself that day he would not go
outside unless God prompted him, and so he went outside to visit his
uncle in the park, and then as he was coming back to his house he saw 
 us. It was a great experience.

The other great miracle happened as we went to Caldogna to go visit a
person who is interested in our message there. Unfortunately he wasn't
home, and so we started knocking doors near him. The first three doors
we knocked they all opened and talked to us, one we gave a Book of
Mormon, another wanted to come to church, and the third person had a
cousin who is a member of the church. Then we were about to take the
bus home, but our ward mission leader cancelled our Correlation Meeting, so we
knew it was a sign we needed to knock a couple more doors!

 The first couple people were not interested, but then we knocked on someones door,
a lady poked her head out and then opened the doors without question.
We went up there, talked about our message at the doorstep a bit and
then the father invited us in and talked about the Book of Mormon. He
loved it and loved our message about Jesus Christ, we are going to see
him again next week. 

It has been really amazing to see the power of faith in all this, I know my trainee Anziano Minor has been praying even harder than I have to find people to teach, and the Lord is
blessing us when we are obedient, work hard and have faith in love.
Its an amazing experience to see Gods hand in this work.

Its so cool to hear that Jeremy graduated! I bet he is really excited to be done with school. Are his papers done for the mission? How is that going ?

That's great that he went to EFY. AND WOW Camille is going to Germany, Austria and the CzechRepublic. That sounds pretty crazy. Lots of history there. I hope Camille will do better at taking pictures in Europe. I just started emailing her... hehe we will see!

Wow so interesting how Troy Castagna is running for that office. 

Hey I really appreciate you sending me all the family history stuff- it is awesome! It is so cool to learn about my ancestors and what they did. I have some really cool family.  (Mom sent him some information about Joseph and Zorah Jeppson and Edith Clark with a few photos including cowboy Monte Rohwer on a horse.
