| Fellow missionaries in the Torino area gathering to watch General Conference at the Church. |
For some more general news, this week has been a little crazy. On Thursday we found out that we needed to cancel all our appointments Friday and Saturday to help clean and furnish a new appartment! We went to the biggest IKEA store ever got everything and worked those two days with many Anziani. It was fun but difficult.
By the way we have just moved appartments to
Via Pietro Thermignon, 6 - 10141 Torino (TO) for this transfer.
One miracle that we saw this week was from a man named Tirso! He is Filipino and he is so awesome. He always invites us over and makes us delicious filipino food. He has been struggling coming to church this whole transfer and we finally had a really powerful lesson with him on the priesthood and helped him understand why he needs to come to church, to help magnify his calling as a priesthood holder. We didn't know if he would come the next day but we had a pleasant surprise and he came! We were happy about that. He is a really funny guy and we always joke around with him. Here are some pictures of him and I.

We have also been working a lot lately with a man name Charles, who is a big guy from Nigeria. He has a hard time finding work and is frustrated because he has his documents and is licensed as a truck driver, but there just isnt any work at this point in time! He wants to be baptized really bad and we are helping him overcome some struggles he has so that he will be ready for baptism.

Also, last preperation day we went to Monviso- a beautiful and awesome mountain that is one of the tallest. We hiked long and far to get there and take some amazing pictures. I'm only sending a few. |
We are above the clouds :O !!!!
I still have to send you all a package with gifts, I gave Anziano Taylor the package to send it but instead he just gave it to someone who dropped it off at the office so now I still need to send it. It has my clothes and stuff first and then all the gifts at the bottom I hope everyone likes everything.
Thanks for the birthday money! Im also very excited to get some Cds from Jeremy .
PS From Mom- Ryan's birthday is October 29th- send him a note Ryan.day@myldsmail.net

Note from Wikipedia :
Monte Viso or Monviso , is the highest mountain of the Cottian Alps and the 10th highest in the Alps. It's located in Italy close to the French border. Monte Viso is well known for its pyramid-like shape, and because it is higher than all its neighbouring peaks by about 500 m it can be seen from some distance, from the Piedmontese plateau and theLanghe. On a very clear day it can be seen from the spires of the Milan Cathedral. It has been suggested that Monte Viso could be one of the mountains which inspired the Paramount logo. In Italy is also known as Il Re di Pietra (The Stone King) because of his prominence within western Italian Alps landscape. The tallest peak is 12,602 feet high
