Tons of Photos!!!!!, Venice, Fan + sea storm

This week has been super tiring we have been running all over the place (which was good).
Every night this week I have plopped on my bed and fallen asleep almost instantly.

Church this week was really great, we had a fast and testimony meeting and one of the people who stood up to bear her testimony was a woman who we home teach. She has a disease that has made it difficult for her to walk and makes her tired all the time for the past couple years, and so its hard for her to go to church. She talked about how through prayer her sickness has helped her come closer to God and really understand why she was going through everything she did. You could feel of her love for God and for the people around her as she stood up and bore this powerful witness of Gods love in her life.  We were able to visit her in her home a couple days later, and she said the same things to us. It was only her and her cat Joe black.

One day this week we hiked up this GIANT hill to go see a family that we are teaching. It was super steep and took a long time to get up, by the time we made it I was dripping sweat. But as we left the view of the sea from their house was simply beautiful. Wow. It gives Livorno's sights a run for their money.

The weather... It rained but now its gotten up to 34 or 35  degrees celsius  (93-95 F) and  humid! AHHHHH! But its okay because we have some fans. Im sure it's not as bad as being in the amazon rainforest, so thats good.

OH I forgot to recount a story on June 26th PDAY... The fan + sea storm...

So after we did our internet (wrote our letters) we went on a voyage to buy a fan. We traveled all over town until we got to a giant supermarket/superstore place and found a 15 euro fan. It was great. We were happy. Our house doesnt have air conditioning so we were in need of an excellent fan. So we buy the fan travel back to the house only to discover... we had forgetten the keys. Ah! And we still had this fan that we were bringing around in the box.

We called the Bishop of our ward, who has the extra keys to the apartment, and he told us he wouldn't be home until 6. It was a little before 4. So after thinking for a little bit we decided to try to go visit the castle thats in the area. and we took the fan with us on this journey. After traveling about 20 minutes on the bus, we could not find the castle, and got to a famous park instead, but it was closed! Noo! We had lugged the fan all the way there so far.

And so after some walking we found a pier and just enjoyed the scenery,

there was a storm coming in the distance and so the ocean looked awesome.

Finally we rode the bus all the way back, got some gelato, and then eventually got the keys from our bishop. All with the fan in hand. It was a pretty fun day. I just sent you all the pictures we took.

Beautiful Venice!
(We went there last week)

Black pasta (dyed with Cuddle fish ink)

(Note from mom: Currently in Venice, there is a large contemporary international art exhibit that takes place every 2 years with over 150 artists with the theme, the Encyclopedic Palace.  This looks like an art exhibit from this event. )

Then on the Fourth of July we made hot dogs and french fries. We have a grill pan in the house so we are pretty fortunate. I bought a whole Kilo of hotdogs for only 3 euro! It was delicious until we ate too much.

Then here are two photos off of our porch in Trieste.

Happy birthday wishes to my sister Camille

auguri and buon compleanno from Italy.

Its fun to hear about all the family, they (cousins visiting) must have had a really entertaining time. There is so much to do in LA that I have hardly took advantage of.

Wow so Camille got into Jazz! Thats going to be nuts.

 Im out of time.

Love you so much! Ciaoooooo
