This week we had a great Baptism of Charles! He was really ready to accept the gospel, he only had to overcome a couple of items until he was able to be baptized. Finally, this week. We only had a couple of difficulties to overcome!
When we taught him a couple of days before baptism, we practiced what would happen during baptism and he told us his knee and ankle weren't feeling well at all, but that they would be better by Saturday. So we just trusted and hoped. Then the next day we realized we had no baptismal clothes that were big enough for him! So we scrambled until we finally got some from Collegno, the city next to Torino.
So the day of the baptism went perfect. There werent too many people, Pochi ma buoni (few people, but good people) as you say in Italian. It went super smooth, and the spirit was really strong. After the Bishop invited him to bear his testimony, and he went up there and asked, Can I do it in English? and the Bishop said, No! (haha) so he bore a beautiful testimony in Italian about the impact of this on his life, how much he has changed and how happy he was (he speaks Italian pretty well). I was glad to see how much he has changed and how happy he is. Now whenever we talk to him he has a smile and a glow about him.

We had a great zone meeting yesterday, I saw Anziano Taylor (who was my companion in Trieste) where and we were both wearing out matching rain jackets we bought in Trieste when it was Saldi. So of course we took a picture together.
President and Sorella Dibb surprised us and both came and visited our zone meeting, which was really nice. We talked about the teachings we recieved from President Teixeires in the last zone conference as well as many other things. I really enjoy zone meetings, they really help me get focused and remember my purpose as a missionary and also remember that miracles still happen! Its so fun to hear about miracle stories from other missionaries.

We were able to visit the Egyptian museum last Pday! It was really cool and had many interesting mummies and old scrolls and different things.

The Egyptian Museum of Torino (Museo Egizio) is the second largest in the world next to Cairo. It was established in 1824. In the early 19th century there was a heightened interest in Egyptian culture in Europe following Napoleon's campaign in Egypt (1798-1801) . In the war, the French were trying to protect French trade interests and thwart the British trade route to India. The French also brought a large group of scientists and scholars to Egypt and they had French and Italian excavation campaigns along the Nile increasing the Italian collections through acquiring French finds and their own finds. Napoleon's hand is everywhere!
